Resumo

If we live in a world increasingly dominated by science, knowledge of that world is disseminated by means that are akin to showbusiness. World famous scientists are increasingly media-personalities. Scientific curiosity, inquiry and the desire to know more are tempered by the imperative to put what is known on display: to present, to dress and to wrap things up.
