Some medieval philosophers subscribe certain moral cognitivism, of a platonic root, by understanding that the good choice has as a goal the Idea of Good; and, therefore, the bad choice would reside in its ignorance or a certain degree of estrangement of same. The majority, however, subscribes to a different thesis: that the choice is motivated secondarily by knowledge and primarily by will, and in a final analysis: that will debates on alternatives known by the agents. Taking choice with relation to virtue of justice, we will evaluate three recurring positions in medieval thinking that, despite drinking from the same platonic source, result in diverging solutions
