Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- Manuscripts must be original and adopt the necessary scientific and ethical rigour.
- The texts should be presented in A4 format, Times New Roman, size 12, with one and a half spaced line spacing and with the alignment justified.
- The name of the author (s) must appear on the line immediately after the title, right-aligned, in capital letters, size 12, followed by the filiation in the institution to which he/she belongs, and the institutional e-mail address or personal, and the ORCID register number.
- The footnotes (in Times New Roman, size 10, single-spaced line spacing) should be reduced to the essentials.
- All text should include a bibliography which should include the works in alphabetical order explicitly mentioned in the text or notes.
- Direct quotation until 40 words should be cited in the same paragraph (integrated in the text) using quotation marks. Direct quotations that are 40+ words should be cited in different paragraph (s), without quotation marks, with leading of 0.5 inch on left margin. Please, use double-space in the entire quotation and do not add an extra blank line before or after the entire quotation.

All the citations and references, including archival materials, follows the APA 7 with minor adjustments, if needed. Please, in case of citing or referencing archival materials or other primary sources, provide all the elements needed for an accurate identification of the sources used. In case of doubt, the following model should be adopted:
Instituto dos Arquivos Nacionais/Torre do Tombo [Lisbon]. (1699). Tribunal do Santo Ofício, Conselho Geral, Book 122 , sheet 3. - The references and quotations in text or footnotes follow the APA 7 Style. Please, see the examples available in the "Instructions for authors" section.
- The article title should be right aligned, size 14, bold and, two paragraphs down, its English version keeping the same style.
- Abstract should be a concise summary of key points of the paper, and should be presented in Times New Roman, size 10, with simple spacing and alignment justified. Authors may provide 3-5 keywords separated with commas and in lowercase letters.
- The section titles should be keeping the same style as the body of the paper. Use the APA 7 Style for enumerating and highlighting the sections and subsections.
- All tables and figures must be presented in accordance with APA 7 Style. They must also be visible and limited to the minimum necessary.
