Abstract

Based on documents produced by the Municipality of Sines during the Modern Age, and in comparison with the genesis of urban management procedures in Lisbon and with the existing norms, this article aims to know the practices in the case of Sines, a peripheral town and sparsely populated located on the coast of the region of Campo de Ourique.
