Abstract

Today, building “new geographies” on the grounds of knowledge and of factors such as knowledge, learning and creativity, has had an impact in the rebuilding and redefinition of the economic activities, while it has also revalorised territorial dimension, local and regional knowledge and innovation systems. Furthermore, enterprises and institutions play a major role to the setting of new knowledge and innovation policies. Under this viewpoint, we intend to analyze the entrepreneurial dynamics taking into account the infrastructures and human resources for R & D. Based on the data of the Office of Planning, Strategy, Evaluation and International Affairs (GPEARI - MCTES), we aim to identify the territorial configurations, functioning logic and articulation of R & D units The valuation of territorial perspective within the framework of the dynamics and roles played by these infrastructures of knowledge and innovation may be central, not just to consolidate innovation systems but also for its dissemination, which will contribute to the definition of new knowledge and innovation policies based on territorial criteria.
