Survey of human occupation on the banks of the Rio Ceira: a methodological approach

The human settlement on the banks of the rio Ceira has been a subject of study by the Lousitânea (Liga de Amigos da Serra da Lousã), from 2013 until the present, resulting in three work reports in the final version, in the municipalities of Arganil, Gois and Pampilhosa da Serra (one for each municipality), and is preparing a similar report to the municipality of Lousã.
The main objective is to identify, record and analyze the distribution of elements that characterize various historical periods and types of construction, depending on the specific characteristics territorial, framework conditions of the river and nearby villages (as well as their size and characteristics) along more than a hundred kilometres.
In particular emphasized the methodological dimension while nuclear vector of planning and execution of multiple actions inherent to the mentioned survey.
