Abstract

The scope of this paper was to verify  if the thermal expansion ·coefficient could be expressed  by spatial laws, as what happens with the majority of the properties of rock materials,  namely  the deformability modulus and the ultimate uniaxial compression stress; and also to  correlate  the  surfaces defining the anisotropy of the above mentioned properties.

So, by means of laboratory tests on samples of granitic rock corresponding to nine referrenced space directions, the values that made possible to determine the anisotropy parameters of those three properties were obtained.
