Visco-plastic behaviour of clays during consolidation processes

Abstract

The paper analyses a viscoplastic model composed by elastic springs, a dashpot and a frictional element, and presents the mathematical solution for the rate of compression. The structural strength is an important factor that determines the behaviour of the soil.
