The Organization of the Monitoring Activities in the Portuguese Dams

The recent conclusion of a proposal for Dams Safety Regulations by the Subcommittee of Dams Regulations acting in the scope of the High Council of Public Works and Transports prompts the presentation of some comments exclusively involving organization aspects, which are meant to contribute to the divulgation of the Regulations and to arise interest for knowledge of their full contents. Characterization of the present situation will stress the urgence of those Regulations and highlight innovation aspects therein contained.
