Efecto del biopolímero guar sobre el grado de compactación en arenas para relleno estructural

El presente estudio evaluó el efecto del biopolímero guar (GG) en el grado de compactación de arenas bien graduadas utilizadas como relleno estructural. Se emplearon tres porcentajes de adición (1,0 %, 1,5 % y 2,0 %) y tres periodos de reposo (1, 3 y 7 días). Los resultados mostraron que la dosificación óptima fue del 1,0 % con 7 días de reposo, alcanzando una mejora del grado de compactación del 93 % al 97 %, superando los requisitos establecidos por la norma EG-2013. Además, se observó un incremento en la densidad seca máxima y en la densidad in situ. Como aporte ambiental, se realizó una evaluación de la huella de carbono, evidenciando que el uso del biopolímero permitió reducir el uso del equipo de compactación, disminuyendo las emisiones asociadas y reafirmando el carácter sostenible del aditivo. En consecuencia, el biopolímero guar se presenta como una alternativa eficiente, técnica y ambientalmente viable para la ingeniería geotécnica.
