Abstract

It is debatable whether Strukturwandel der Öffentlichkeit is Jürgen Habermas's greatest work. But it seems unquestionable that his work is the one that has achieved the greatest public projection (and also in academia and science). The corresponding image is that of Habermas as the great theorist of public space - even if to the author himself this label is less adequate and perhaps even not very true.
