Journalism training and professional practice: Understanding the manifest theories with an epistemological basis

Journalism requires observation and research for his identification. Requires to overcome the lack of definition about what it is (an art, a profession, an occupation) and who are journalists (a group, a community). It also matters map its formation, from its beginnings to the different degree programs. Determine which are the nuclear subjects of journalism’s teaching and in what extent the set of competence frameworks can form a cast of knowledge necessary for professional performance. It is necessary to understand journalism mechanisms to understand and to determine the theoretical frameworks in which journalism operate, theories, methods and techniques of the social sciences mobilized to represent the world. Actions that enable journalism with a body of knowledge and criticism that is recognized by those who teach it, by the learners, by those who practice it and by the public to whom journalistic information is intended.
