Some important pages in the stories of Eroticos are remarkable by the echoes which clausulae weave from a colon to another one; some recurrences of rhythmic sequences are also made more striking by means of the isosyllaby of cola. Mostly these echoes allow Plutarch to underline the periodical organization of his stories and their articulations, but a few rhythms are also ironic allusions to hymns or songs.
