This study analyses Sándor Ferenczi’s contributions on psychic trauma. In an original theoretical construction, Ferenczi extends the idea o the trauma beyond sexual scene and takes the adult’s hypocrisy in relation to the child, His lies and denials, as powerful traumatic forces. Along his work, we found two different conceptions of the trauma: a first one, in which the traumas are necessary, inevitable or phylogenetic – constituents of the infantile sexuality, and a subsequent one, in which the traumatic situations endangers the subject’s identificatory project; this happens when the adult denies what happened.Downloads
