This research aims to investigate the extent to which culture / organizational climate and satisfaction with social support can influence the perceived stress, and what the relationship between cultural variables and satisfaction with social support. The results suggest that the culture of the organization studied, it is perceived primarily as a culture of rules. These data corroborate the investigations found in literature review, which states that this culture, can be justified given the history of Portugal, which is a strong and rigid formalism, contributing further to the bureaucracy in organizations. Data from the present study consolidate some preliminary indications that the organizational culture and satisfaction with social support may be associated with a level of well-being and play a crucial role in psychological perception of stress. The results also suggest that the organizational culture can influence more the satisfaction with social support as perceived stress, and the latter in turn, may be significantly more influenced by satisfaction with social support.Downloads
