Euripides' play Alcestis took part in the programm of FESTEA XXIII in a version of Daniela Pereira and Carlos Jesus with the intriguing title What to do with Alcestis? Here Saramago and his book As Intermitências da Morte (Dead at intervals) joins Euripides resulting in a surprising combination in the field of dramaturgy and staging. This news includes a reference to previous performances of Alcestis in Portugal.
