Abstract

In this work the life of the 3rd century author Ausonius and some of his works are presented, of which the Epigrammata de Diuersis Rebus is highlighted, in which it seems possible to find, in some of its poems, likeness to those of Martial’s, with respect to themes and recurrent characters. Starting from the survey of various epigrams of Ausonius and Martial among which correspondences are found, an analysis of resemblances and dissimilarities is done.
