In the first half of the 16th century, happened, in the city of Lyon, the emergence of a new German printer, a member of Greyff family from Reutlingen, Sebastianus Gryphus, who has edited an important number of books in Latin, Greek and Hebrew languages. We present here some of the most appreciated phases in his life and typographic career. We analyse, also, the principal Roman and Greek titles he has printed till the end of his life, in 1556.
