Walter Besant has considered the Novel similar to a Theatre piece. Aristotle had considered the Tragedy superior to other arts for its capacity to represent life. The cinema, on the other hand, is essentially a representative art. This essay reconstitutes the beginnings of drama and of western theatre as matrixes of the Novel and the Cinema.
