Abstract

Through a brief analysis of the Orphic Argonautica this paper will seek to explore the possible relationship of this poem with the famous epic of Apollonius of Rhodes, with the intent to expose the way in which they relate to each other and try to reach some conclusions about the sources and possible dating of these verses attributed to Orpheus.
