Abstract

Taking advantage of literary testimonies and the most recent fragments found in Oxyrhynchus, this article will seek to understand the reasons why the Margites, a work of an enormous importance for Aristotle, lost its original value, ending up disappearing almost completely from the occidental literary canon still in the first centuries of our era.
