This study assesses the prevalence of overweight and obesity among school-aged youth residing in the European territory. Also presents and compares estimates of vegetables, fruit and soft drinks consumption; levels of physical activity; time spent watching television and playing computer games or games console. The results point that the levels of overweight and obesity are highest in southern Europe. Reveal that adolescents in northern Europe are more likely to report frequent fruit and vegetable consumption, but less likely to drink soft drinks on a daily basis. Also show that adolescents in northern Europe report high levels of weekly physical activity; while adolescents in southern Europe report that they watch television and play videogames two or more hours daily on weekdays more frequently.Downloads
