Europa e Europas no Discurso da Seara Nova (1921-1929)

This article focuses on the idea of Europe present in Seara Nova magazine, meeting point of portuguese intellectuality, during the 20’s of the last century. It also aims to assess its contribution to the consolidation of the European sentiment and its position towards europeanist initiatives which then emerged. It is situated during post-World War 1 era, at a time in which the international political and territorial picture is changing, in search of a new balance between the various Powers, and in which principles such as internationalism, europeanism, universalism and pacifism are recast and rethought in the discussions of international affairs.
