In the last decades, the issues of security and peace of the States and / or regional organizations as blocs that tend to be homogeneous have brought up debates on issues related to interdependence in international relations that do not always generate equity and balance. This has also been the case of the relationships between the European Union (EU) and Africa. This article aims to analyze the evolution of the EU-Africa dialogue and with the African Portuguese Speaking Countries (PALOP) in matters of security and peace. Furthermore, to scalpel the implications of these relationships at a time we are witnessing a competition for Africa and to the emergence of a multipolar world.
