The location and the determination of subsurface cavities dimensions are very important when planning mining, geothecnical activities and environmental studies.
The problem can be investigated by using appropriate geophysical techniques which are a good altemative to an expensive and dense grid of boreholes.
This paper investigates the use of Wenner tripotential measurements in the detection and resolution of subsurface cavities. Thus data provided by insulating bidimensional models immersed in water are shown and discussed.
Finnaly a field example is given.
