Pore Pressures in the Mira Dam Earthfills. Ten Years of Observation

Abstract

The evolution of the pore pressures in the clayey shist material of the Mira dam earthfills during the construction and explotation phases is presented and analysed.

Reference is also made to the behaviour of the piezometers (electric, vibrating wire type) throughout ten years of the observation of the dam (1965-1975).
