Proposal for a geotechnical classification of carbonate rocks

Abstract

A proposal for the geotechnical classification of carbonate rocks is presented.  Porosity and linear expansion due to water absorption are the parameters of this classification. Toe defined groups have significative differences in their geotechnical behaviour namely in terms of strength and weatherability.
