The present article sets out and analyses the various instruments for implementing an integrated model of coastal zone management: legal/institutional instruments; policy instruments; programming instruments; and financing instruments.
These instruments form the foundation for creating a coastal zone management model that ensures integrated, participatory, and co-responsible action by the various stakeholders, with the aim of promoting the coastline as a valuable asset and approaching its enhancement as a national priority within the framework of an intersectoral national programme.
