The concern for the protection of human rights and the concern for the protection of the environment reinforce one another. Both human rights and environmental law are necessary to ensure better living conditions.
The overall objective of this article is to show the dramatic influences that the principle of sustainability has on human rights and on new thinking about individual freedom, property, and the interrelations between rights and responsibilities.
