The present article aims to introduce and discuss the book Entrances & Exits, by Reif Larsen, published by Visual Editions in collaboration with Google’s Creative Lab Australia, a partnership that has produced nine books up until today. Editions at Play, how the project was named, is described as “an experiment into digital literature”, and was responsible for innovative publications which use exclusively digital resources in reading. The book at issue uses Google StreetView and geographic coordinates to structure and guide the reader throughout the narrative, mobilising elements that can be found while navigating inside the mapping system. The challenges of dealing with such objects and how to put to use all their potentialities are the central topics of this text.
