Guidelines for article submission

Articles and reviews proposed for publication must be submitted through the OJS (Open Journal Systems) editorial management platform available at http://impactum-journals.uc.pt/rph/submission/wizard.

All article proposals must be original texts written in one of the following languages: Portuguese, Castilian Spanish, English, French, Italian, Galician or Catalan.

All articles submitted for publication will be assessed by two outside experts. This process will be directed by the issue coordinator and overseen by the journal editors and the Publishing Board. Authors may be advised to rephrase their texts for publication purposes.

Articles must not exceed 12.000 words (including appendices) and shall be submitted along with an abstract (maximum of 200 words) and a group of keywords (between 3 and 5). The abstract and keywords must be written in English and in the original language of the text; or in Portuguese and English if the latter is the language of the text.

Articles must be submitted in Word format and should be preceded by a cover page including the name of the author, academic affiliation (maximum of 2 institutions), ORCID code, and email address.

Graphs, tables, and occasional illustrations shall be sent in individual files with an indication within the text of the place where they shall be inserted. It is the author’s responsibility to obtain the proper authorization for the publication of images subjected to copyright laws.

Bibliographical and archival references must be standardized in accordance with the following examples, and written in footnotes at the end of each page:

Georges Gusdorf, Les principes de la pensée au Siècle des Lumières, Paris, Payot, 1971.

Collective works:
Marta Tienda and B. Grusky (ed.), Social stratification: class, race, and gender in sociological perspective, Boulder; San Francisco; Oxford, Westview Press, 1994.

Authors will be sent proofs for correction. Changes to more than 10% of the original text will not be accepted.
