Abstract

The Revista Portuguesa de História (RPH) celebrates this year 80 years of uninterrupted publication of articles and critical reviews. In the year that marks eight decades of publication, we have decided to dedicate this editorial to the founding principles of this scientific publication and to link this celebration with a brief evocation of the work of Professor António de Oliveira, who passed away on January 1, 2021.
