Educação e cidadania: Consciência nacional no contexto europeu

It is my intent, with this small written text, to provoke a reaction by affirmations made. To present data which, mirroring reality, deserve some discussion and possibly, some suggestions. This contemplation arises from an anxious feeling, a certain disenchantment and disbelief in the Educational development in this country. To educate is not only to instruct nor is it the gift knowledge but it is to offer an individual a global and harmonious development. My ponderence and inquietude make meask: - What is the function of the school? - What policies do we adopt to this multicultural reality and how do we equip the teacher to respond effectively? - How to create a responsible citizen within the multicultural reality? - And what about school curriculum? My hope is that this article will, if nothing else, make people mediate on the situation.Downloads
