Abstract

Temperature is one of the most important parameters to consider when attempting to evaluate the thermal stress of the human being. In this investigation is evaluated the thermal shock which happens, a lot of times, during a forest fire and occurs when the fight is done with a jet of water and one exposure during the combat with sappers means.

Here are used indices of thermal stress, to a thermal environment, to a hot atmosphere due the effect of energy transfer as heat, on behalf of radiation, convection, evaporation, namely, the WBGT, the HSI and the ITE. The results are compared with the physical interpretation from the diagram of two entries WMO.
