Abstract

In this paper is analyzed the fi re risk of a plant of urban solid residues, particularly at the pit of deposition of the residues. Simulations of the development of the fi re, using a model of two zones, the Consolidated Model of Fire and Smoke Transport (CFAST) and a field model, Fire Dynamics Simulator and Smokeview (FDS-SMV), both from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), were carried out and the results analyzed and discussed.
