Abstract

The city of Belém has grown drasticly and in an uncontrolled manner over the last few years. The lack of control over the urban growth is one of the
main causes of urban foods, resulting in human and material losses. Studies and investments have been made seeking to avoid or minimize flood occurences, through risk control and management.
