Abstract

In this article we try to characterize the main superficial formations found in the northern part of the Alvão mountain: (i) slope deposits and (ii) weathering profiles. We also intend to produce a thickness of the superficial formations
map using the ordinary kriging from the collection of 48 sampling points later inserted into the table, and treated by Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
