Risks in brazilian small-sized printing companies: a case study

The Brazilian printing industry represents 2.95% of the country’s GDP, generating 221 thousand jobs. Apart from the results of economic nature, it is striking the impact this industry has on the environment and on the working conditions
of the employees. This work identified high-risk situations in the offset process in a small-sized printing company in the city of Londrina, Paraná, Brazil. At the end, the analyses showed that the graphic’s behavior is not in compliance with the requirements, rendering the workers and the environment extremely vulnerable.
