Abstract

When looking for a potential parallel between typography and architecture, we may find that «compositio», which translates into the actions of planning, building and ornamenting following precise rules and proportions, is an art and a craft that, from a conceptually point of view, is shared by the typographer and the architect. To unveil this theory, we should try to assess which rules and principles were behind the foundation of this shared logic.
