Bibliographic marks of the Mathematical Library of the University of Coimbra

Abstract

During its century-old existence the Mathematical Library of the University of Coimbra used three main bibliographic marks which we make known in this text. The corresponding periods of use, as well as the authors, or probable authors, of the respective drawings are identified, which leads us to the names of the master António Augusto Gonçalves (1848-1932) and the sculptor, carver and medalist João da Silva (1880-1960).
