O fundo António de Lima Fragoso na Biblioteca Geral da Universidade de Coimbra

Abstract

António de Lima Fragoso, Portuguese pianist and composer, died at the age of 21 leaving an expressive musical work of high musical value which, although unfinished, is considered an important moment in the history of Portuguese music. With biographical data referring to António Fragoso, this article provides a description of the family archive donated to BGUC by his family in 2014, in particular of the composer’s personal papers, including his musical works and correspondence, properly organised and incorporated into the BGUC’s manuscript and musical Fund.
