The terminology related to the different stages of the human being has a great diversity in all languages. Throughout this article we will collect the different classifications attested in the literary and lexicographical sources from the first Greek testimonies to the Byzantine era. The result of the study will allow, firstly, to know the vast terminology to refer to the different stages of the life of the human being and, secondly, to organize it chronologically. Furthermore, this study will allow us to determine a common pattern followed by the different authors when preparing these classifications.Downloads
