This study deals with the Bacchae, by Euripides, and its main purpose is to shift the focus of the tension between Pentheus and Dionysus from a conflict traditionally closed between the political and religious plans for a confrontation in which the negation of the God, further on its possible modes, would lead to the final affirmation of It through an incipient metaphysical horizon in relation of transcendence with the ontological dimension of mortal.
