Although we do not know the exact date of the beginning of the teaching of Latin in China; from the published works in this area since the 1940s, we can conclude that it already has a long history, although it focuses mainly on the domain of medical studies as a specialized language. This situation began to change in 2018, when the bachelor course in Latin was opened, aiming to train students in the area of Western Classical Studies. In this paper, we will present and analyse the development of education in Latin in China in different historical periods.
