Abstract

O estudo conjunto das inscrições provenientes de Faro (antiga Ossonoba) e do seu termo permite desde já verificar a importância desta cidade durante toda a época romana. Colonizada por elementos itálicos, a cidade teve grande desenvolvimento no Alto Império, atingindo o seu apogeu na 2.a metade do séc. m.
