Abstract

The environmental questions concerned to waste deposition, appeared in recent years, as a priority issue to the government as well as to the civil organizations. This paper is inserted within the Inter- municipal Consortium of both the Piracicaba and Capivari rivers basins and the Town Hall of Piracicaba proposals, with the aim of contributing to implement viable destination alternatives in conformity with environmental and economical requirements, to waste generated from regional industries. In virtue of the existing needs referring to dangerous waste storage, a regional solution was adopted. The preliminary selection of priorities areas was achieved through the utilisation of a planning and the use of the soil software, the RIA – Resource, Information and Analysis. This process aims at specific environmental analysis, through a data processing procedure, which is structured, starting from the obtained information related to the environmental inventory of the respective area in study. In this paper, aspects regarding geo-technical and geo- environmental questions of the problem were both enhanced.
