Often considered technologically delayed compared to other sectors, civil construction seeks to incorporate new technologies in traditional activities. In geotechnical engineering, the crescent usage of geosynthetic materials can be emphasized as evidence. In this area, the applications of geosynthetics in the drainage functions deserve special attention. Often the reason for problems in construction, drainage requires special attention of the designer. Knowing and understanding the behavior of this type of material can represent a more precise designing and consequently greater security in the application and reduction of costs for the implementation of these solutions. This research aimed to study the performance of a drainage geocomposite through laboratory tests to determine the physical, mechanical, hydraulic and durability characteristics of the geosynthetics. Through the correlation between the compression, transmissivity and creep tests, it was possible to predict the reduction in the flow capacity of the material in the long term, establishing specific creep reduction factors for this type of material.
