his paper presents an elasto-plastic constitutive model with coupled damage derived from definition of thermodynamic potential functionals applied to the modeling of the stress-strain-strength behavior of structured soils. The model belongs to the family of Modified Cam-Clay models and employs internal variables of plasticity and damage in its formulation. The paper presents simulations of triaxial and oedometric tests in soils. The incorporation of damage allows it to represent the effects of soil structure destruction.
