Abstract

This paper aims to present a case study in which it is used the procedure proposed by Murakami (2015) to perform CAPWAP (Case Pile Wave Analysis Program) analyses. The procedure allows determining the shaft quake value of the pile, adjusting the CAPWAP’s load-settlement curve to be closer to the real curve of the static load test, improving not only the physical meaning of the simulation but also the CAPWAP match quality of the wave up curve. One way to evaluate the shape of the CAPWAP’s load-settlement curve regarding the static load test curve is through the concept of “settlement match quality”, proposed in this paper.
