Quality evaluation of rocky substratum distributed in foundation of Bandeira de Melo Dam – Bahia/Brazil

This work presents the results of the studies of geological-geotechnical mapping made in rocky substratum distributed in foundations of the Bandeira de Melo Dam, located in the Paraguaçu river, city of Itaeté, Bahia State, Brazil. It has the objetive of recognizing, in terms of detail scale the different lithologies, structures and geomechanical classification of massive foundations, as well as provide subsidies that will be useful at the moment of choice of solutions to be used in their treatment.
